One of the best ways to manage diabetes is by changing your diet and eating fewer carbohydrates. Start tracking what you eat. Learn about better options for diabetics, carb counting, and portion sizing to improve your diet and keep blood sugar levels stable.

 

#3 Create and Use Your Diabetes Kit

There are certain medical supplies diabetics should use on a regular basis, including a blood glucose meter. Put together your testing kit and other essential supplies to help manage your treatment. Learn about each tool in the kit and how to use it effectively. Once you know more about your tools, especially the blood glucose meter, you’ll feel more capable of using them and less wary of testing your blood sugars.
